The Divine Heritage of Rawatpura Dham

The sacred journey of Rawatpura Dham began with the divine birth of Param Pujya Shri Ravi Shankar Ji Maharaj and continues to inspire millions worldwide.

🌟 The Divine Birth (1968)

On the auspicious day of Thursday, 5th July 1968, in the humble village of Chipri in the Bundelkhand region of central India, a divine soul incarnated. Born to the religious Brahmin family of Smt Ramsakhi Ji and Shri Kriparam Ji, the child was initially named Ravi by his grandparents.

"This was not an ordinary birth but an avatar of divine proportions, witnessed by miraculous events that revealed the extraordinary spiritual nature of the newborn."

Later, recognizing his immense peaceful temperament, the name was changed to Ravi Shankar, signifying:

Ravi (Sun): That invigorates the world with divine energy and warmth of grace

Shankar (Lord Shiva): Who is compassionate and blesses with a calm and concentrated state of mind

🏛️ Establishment of Rawatpura Dham (1991)

To provide a spiritual abode that would benefit the masses with his gracious presence, Maharaj Shri established Rawatpura Dham in 1991. This sacred place was destined to become:

A beacon of spiritual light for millions of devotees
A center for divine satsang and spiritual discourse
Home to over 5000 indigenous cows in the sacred Gaushala
A place where traditional wisdom meets contemporary needs

🤲 Formation of SRLKT (2000)

To provide an organizational structure that would support and expand the reach of humanitarian activities, Maharaj Shri laid the foundation of Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Lok Kalyan Trust (SRLKT) in 2000.
